Indow Windows excel at sound reduction. When placed over single pane windows, Standard Indow Windows reduce noise coming through the window by 10 dB, which is up to a 50% sound dampening performance. Please note the 50% to 70% sound deadening performance is based on tests where the Standard and Acoustic Grade Indow Windows were placed over operable single pane windows. Overall sound reduction depends on sound coming through your walls, ceilings and doors and the reduction will be less when Indow Windows are placed over double pane windows. Noise coming through walls, ceilings, and doors will diminish the overall noise reduction.
